The Room
Recently renovated, top to bottom
Step in off Brighton Road and it's bottle-green walls, warm wood and tan leather, cage lanterns with Edison bulbs over the bar, and the amber neon glowing behind it. Hand-lettered chalkboards carry the deals, the tricolour bunting runs along the bar front, and there's a snug corner when you want the quiet one.
The Idea
A proper local, done well
O'Farrell's is run by the team behind the Kings Head in Horley, and the plan is the same one that works there: friendly staff, fair prices, good food, every match on, and a room where regulars, first-timers and dogs all get the same welcome. Pie and mash and good times, like the chalkboard says.
